Gabi and Bruno shows a face to face of two strong characters and personalities. 28 years old, lively and enthusiastic, Gabriela Rohrer has just started putting on her “doctor’s white coat”. Having passed her diploma, she is completing her post-graduate training to become a GP in a hospital and in a mountain-village surgery. While being very motivated, she is worried about the problem of medicine in the future and is extremely critical of the training system.
Bruno, 63, practises in Bern in a middle-class district. He is a calm, thoughtful man who is totally committed to his patients. It is very soon obvious when listening to him, that his rigorous way of thinking has been moulded by his 30 years’ experience, his numerous writings and his activities in the training of young doctors.
